Blog-Groupie
von Detlef GuertlerAus aktuellem Anlass (oder besser gesagt: eins zwei aktuellen Anlässen), und weil von einem Mitdiskutanten das mir bislang nicht bekannte Wort Bloggroupie verwendet wurde (das ich im Deutschen der Lesbarkeit wegen immer mit Bindestrich schreiben würde), sei hier auf eine Frage verwiesen, die Monika Mundell bereits am 20. November 2007 gestellt hat: “Do Blog Groupies Rule The Internet?”
Was sind Blog-Groupies, Frau Mundell? “Since there isn’t really a valid definition of blog groupies to be found, we can assume that blog groupies are those who hang onto every word of the most famous bloggers, jostling for space to be seen on the comments section (need to be in the top 10 to make it worthwhile) and take every opportunity to quote or paraphrase whatever they say. Whether it is true or not.”
Und wo ist das Problem? “I can’t stand blog groupies. I’m totally over them. What bugs me most is the fact that they make it so obvious. It’s like hanging onto Paris Hilton’s arms screaming take me, take me…”
Und wo ist die Lösung? “Lets stop worrying about idolizing famous bloggers, just because they are famous. They are simply people like you and me who have taken their fare share of bashing, defeat and failure to make it big eventually. You can too! Instead of howling to the moon we should focus on quality, and networking with the people we respect.”

Neue Zeiten brauchen neue Wörter. Wahre, gute, schöne Wörter. Doch wer trennt die Spreu vom Weizen? Und wer findet die Worte, die uns noch fehlen? Wer, wenn nicht wir? Detlef Gürtler betätigt sich als Wortwart der Nation.

Und wenn ein passendes fällt, kann man das auch in der Wortistik tun. Schmunzel. Ich hatte mitgelesen und auf einen Beitrag dieser Art gewartet. Geschickt über (die) (Groupie)Bande gespielt..
“Instead of howling to the moon we shoud focus on quality.” Schön wäre es ja, wenn Qualität ein absoluter Wert wäre. Aber das definiert wohl jedeR für sich selbst. Und da ich sowieso Qualität bin, ist ja auch mein Focus automatisch richtig.
