Cabaret Voltaire sind wohl neben Throbbing Gristle die wegweisende Post-Punk-Industrial/Electro-Band überhaupt. Wer zweifelt, möge sich Nag Nag Nag noch einmal zu Gemüte führen:

1982 erschien ein Videofilm der Band namens “Johnny YesNo”, der lange vergriffen war und nun als Boxset von Mute Records wieder neu aufgelegt wurde – inklusive einer brandneue, „re-imaginerten“ und ins Los Angeles der Jetztzeit transformierten Version sowie 140 Minuten Bonusmaterial, zwei CDs mit exklusiven Cabaret Voltaire Tracks und neuen Mixen des Masterminds Richard H. Kirk.

Ein schöner Anlaß, nach Kirks Lieblingsplatten zu fragen!

I would have to say Throbbing Gristle or Joy Division who were contemporaries of Cabaret Voltaire and we played a few shows together back in the day. never really got into Gang of Four though
