Zu Unrecht etwas untergegangen ist im ersten Halbjahr das tolle neue Album „Get Back“ der Pink Mountaintops. Im Grunde ist die kanadische Band das andere Projekt von Stephen McBean, der ansonsten für Black Mountain auf der Bühne steht. Von wechselnden Musikern – unter anderem J Mascis von Dinosaur Jr – unterstützt, ist ihm mit „Get Back“ ein Rocknroll-Album gelungen, das zwischen 1-2-3-4-Songs und Closing Time – Liedern wechselt und (sagt es leise) besser ist als vieles was die Stadion-Blues-Rock-Band Black Keys in letzter Zeit so fabrizierte.
