„These two hours felt like six. Not six hours in a plush Soho screening room. Six hours in a torture chamber. If ever a picture demanded a ticket to The Hague, to face the charge of cruel and unusual punishment, it’s this desperate, demented reboot of the excellent 2004 original. (…)
In so many ways is this first-frame-to-last gibberish of an exceedingly rare order that it may become a kitsch cult classic. Although every conscious stab at humour is unfunnier than impacted piles, you might find it so-bad-it’s-hilarious. But to reach that state requires a high-risk tightrope walk. Superlatives are too precious to be wasted. But if this bite-your-bottom-lip-till-it-bleeds-for-distraction dump-truck of incalculable imbecility doesn’t figure in future “Worst Films of All Time” lists… I’ll be as astonished, as I was during every minute of the screening, except the couple that took me to and from the gents’.
There being so few reasons to be thankful for a slack middle-aged bladder, props to Hellboy for that.“
„between the overblown poor CG, witless dialogue and pervasive, numbing violence, the new Hellboy deserves its own special circle in Dante’s Inferno.“
