Benjamin J. Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser, told reporters on Martha’s Vineyard that President Obama would probably receive recommendations in the next several days about how to mount a rescue operation to help the refugees, who are stranded on a mountaintop surrounded by Sunni militants. He said those recommendations could include the use of American ground troops. But he drew a distinction between the use of American forces to help a humanitarian mission and the use of troops in the battle against militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, something he said the president had rejected before and continued to oppose.(Michael D. Beat the drums, assemble the Special Forces…Leader Barry takes us back into war. „Oh no“ say the peace folks. „Oh yes“ say the war hawks/Neo-Cons/neoliberals/all others in the „terror-industrial complex“. More young to slaughter. More target practice for insane jihadiists. There’s just no stopping the war lovers. Meanwhile, the US remains mired in fiscal collapse and economic hardships.
That’s how groups trap themselves inside the abyss of their destruction — crushing themselves with the heavy and costly burden of wars when their people need to be rescued instead. It is the folly of the insane and the US group has certainly been that for far too long. Suddenly, Obama is responding to criticisms from Hillary and the war lovers. Not my kind of leader.
