Frankie & The Heartstrings sind eine britische Indie-Pop-Band aus Sunderland, die ein wirklich tolles Debütalbum vor zwei Jahren veröffentlicht hatten. Auch Album Nummer 2 ist klar beeinflußt vom Postcard-Sound aus Schottland, von Bands wie Orange Juice oder Josef K.
Doch keine der klassischen Postcard-Bands findet sich in ihren Top 5 Songs wieder, dafür aber mit Kraftwerk sogar eine deutsche Gruppe:

We love Jackie the guy behind this band and the band The Yummy Fur, this is a great slice of Indie pop from the The 1990’s first album
2. British Sea Power – Machineries Of Joy

We live this band and I like bikes so this video to me is perfect. We also like girls and there is a girl in this video. It’s also a great song from their brilliant new album
3. Denim – Middle of the road

This man is a living legend, we often listen to this album in the van. It’s scientific fact that glam rock had the best ever recorded drum sound. So why not do it in the mid 90’s or anytime for that matter.
4. Kraftwerk – Autobahn

Every time we tour Germany as soon as we hit the autobahn we whack this on loud in the van. Lovely Stuff not my words the words of Top Gear magazine
