Your three favourite Punk singles/songs?
I don’t really listen to much Punk. I’m interested in the ethic though…the idea of doing things yourself, raw expression, individual freedom & anti-establishment ideology.
A record that will make you dance?
A Tabua de Esmeralda by Jorge Ben
Your favourite song lyrics?
Impossible question, but off the top of my head: “Visions of Johanna”, Bob Dylan.
The best “new” artist / band right now?
I have no clue. I don’t really listen to new music. I don’t want to be unconsciously influenced by other music that’s happening now.
Your favourite song about rebellion/revolution?
“Isn’t It A Pity” by George Harrison or “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” by Nina Simone
Your favourite movie about music – and why?
The Beatles: Get Back. I felt like I got to live with The Beatles for a few hours.
I got teared up when it was over because it was like saying goodbye forever.
Your favourite book about music?
I don’t really read about music.
The best song you’ve ever written / recorded?
I feel like „Blue Vein“ was a turning point song for me. It was a departure from the songs I’d written before & it feels bigger than me.
Your favourite german song/record?
“I Lost Something In The Hills” by Sibylle Baier
Your favourite record of all time?
The NYC sessions (1974) of Bob Dylan’s “Blood on the Tracks” I had it on cd, but lost it and couldn’t ind it again for many years. It’s more emotional than the official release. I listen to it whenever I need to feel again.
Mai:
Bin da!
