Wir haben ja bereits zweimal auf Howler, die junge amerikanische Band aus Minnesota aufmerksam gemacht: in unseren Next-Big-Things-Tipps und unseren Songs des Monats. Und zurecht, ist das Debütalbum von Howler doch die beste Anlehnung an den Sound der frühen Strokes seit langer, langer Zeit!

Nuclear War – Sun Ra. It’s more protest than anything else. It’s interesting, using all of his quirky and far out sensibilities in smart and humorous way.
