Die kanadische Band The Burning Hell spielt entgegen ihres Namens keinen lauten Death Metal, sondern smarten Folk.
Pass the wine, fuck the government, I love you
Three statements overheard at once in the crowded room
But I could not be sure which one had come from you
So I passed you the wine and said yes, fuck the government, I love you too

* The best “new” artist / band right now?
There are too many, but I really like Divide and Dissolve…
For me, it’s usually lyrics that are the most compelling part of music, but Divide and Dissolve manage to say something very powerful without any words at all. And the combo of DIY spirit, woodwinds, and crushing doom metal is totally irresistible.
* Your favourite song about rebellion/revolution?
Nina Simone – „Mississippi Goddam“
* Your favourite song this year so far?
Juile Doiron – „You Gave Me the Key“
* Your favourite movie about music – and why?
„Anvil! The Story of Anvil,“ because it so perfectly captures both the pain and the comedy of being in a band.
* Daniel Johnston, Jonathan Richman or Lou Reed – which one do you prefer and why?
That’s an almost impossible choice! But if I must, I choose Lou Reed: though he was never as charming as Jonathan Richman or as much of a unique genius as Daniel Johnston, I can listen to Lou Reed & Velvet Underground records hundreds of times and still discover new things to appreciate.
* Your opinion on Morrissey?
Fuck Morrissey straight into the heart of the sun.
* Your favourite cover artwork?
The B-52’s – self-titled
* The best song you’ve ever written / recorded?
„Bird Queen of Garbage Island“
