Nachdem jetzt wirklich alle mit ihren Jahreslisten durch sind, hier mal ein Überblick über die wichtigsten Publikationen aus England (NME), Deutschland (Spex, MusikExpress, Intro, Rolling Stone) und den USA (Rolling Stone, Spin, Pitchfork).

Wenn es so etwas wie einen Konsens-Hit des Jahres gab, dann war das wohl (zu recht) Daft Punks “Get Lucky”. Bei den Alben wurde, eher überraschend, Vampire Weekend am häufigsten der Platz an der Sonne zugewiesen. Ein interessanter Nebeneffekt war dabei, was durchaus für die durchgängige Qualität des Albums spricht, dass in vielen der Jahrescharts jeweils ein anderer Track aus dem Album in den Song-Jahrescharts genannt wurde.
