1. Fehlfarben – Es Geht Voran (1980)

This has got a real Blondie feel with some Mick Jones vocals (if Mick Jones was German). Apparently these guys made this song in jest poking fun at the disco feel then it became their biggest hit. Go figure – you can’t always control what other folks want or think you to be. They should talk to Simple Minds („Don’t You (Forget About Me)“). I’d like to have been a fly on the wall in Dusseldorf 1979. Has that movie been made??
2. Blumfeld – Verstärker (1992)

Spoken word is really hard to pull off especially when your audience (me) doesn’t speak the language of the „word“. I understood when Jochen Distelmeyer said „electric guitar“ but I have no context. Does he like the guitar? Is it an invitation to rock?? Does he think guitar is dead??? All valid points that I’ve felt at one point or another.
3. Die Sterne – Fickt das System (1992)

Ahh the 90’s – Blown out snares, loud china, breakbeats and dirty sax. This jam made me want to go back and re-visit my Morphine and Marvin Pontiac records. Good memories. The video is awesome. Dude just standing there the whole time looking dope and yellow is classic. Very Johnny Too Bad with some sarcasm. Wish I knew what he was saying. It would probably help my opinion out.
4. Seeed – Dickes B (2001)
